Barbara Williams,* a respected Medical Researcher who suffered from the terminal disease Motor Neurone Disease, wanted to publish her story.
Mainstream Publishers approached, were not prepared to take it on, perceiving the market to be small.
Barbara has told her story with the insight and knowledge of her vocation and it has been recognised not only as a moving and riveting story, but as a significant informative work on MND and patient care.
She knew that the market on-line could be vast and sales potential would have longevity and confidently printed 10,000** copies.
We applied our normal application to the project, arranging proof reading and editing whilst designing the publication and arranging the print run and binding. We also designed her website: www.losingmyvoice.com and other promotional material.
When Losing My Voice! was reviewed very favourably by Noted Lecturer Historian and Author Mr Barry Gustafsen, he made particular comment on how well the book was produced.
The book is now being sold worldwide via “the net.”
www.losingmyvoice.com
Her book is selling at a rate of 3 per week worldwide and is being translated into Chinese.
* Barbara was my wife. She died in my arms at 8.15am on 27/04/07
** This is an extremely large run and I would envisage print runs of 1,000 3,000 the norm. |
